Script to open scripts folder

I have confession to make. Every time I download new script I struggle to find scripts folder for illustrator, so I can install it for it to appear in Illustrator scripts menu.

Scripts are stored in the Scripts folder, under the application Preset folder, are they? Or are they stored in AppData directory? Where are Illustrator scripts installed in Mac OS? But where are Illustrator scripts saved in Windows?! Every time I have to google it anew!

Fret no more! Now there’s a script for that!

Unpack and drag this .jsx file onto Adobe Illustrator. It will launch Finder or Explorer and reveal Illustrator script install folder in both systems.

Now you can put your scripts there. Don’t forget to relaunch Illustrator! – scripts will then be accessible in Illustrator’s menu under File > Scripts

Voila!
